if you love the fantasticks you will love this book- highly recommended read, and having the words to sing along is great. I don't think there is a musical better than the fantasticks, and given its long run most people agree.

This could not work in a film. The idea of setting parts of the story in a traveling carnival is a good one and works surprisingly well.
